Welcome

Dear WSNA Members and Advisors,

I am honored and grateful for this opportunity to serve as your President of the Wisconsin Student Nurses’ Association for 2015-16. I currently serve on my local chapter’s board at Concordia University of Wisconsin in Mequon and will graduate with my BSN in May, 2016. Serving on my local SNA board has helped me grow personally and professionally. It has given me opportunities to serve not only my fellow nursing students, but the community as well. Volunteering in the area communities has been humbling and provided me with experiences I will take with me as I continue my journey through nursing school and beyond. I am eager to lead at the state level and share my passion for nursing as we grow together as future Registered Nurses.

This upcoming year we will have our Annual College of Chapter Boards in the fall of 2015. Please stay tuned as the date of this event will be revealed within the next few days.

The 2016 WSNA Convention will be held at the Kalahari in the Wisconsin Dells on February 5-7. Please mark your calendars and I hope to see many of you there! As we begin to plan for the convention, let us know any ideas you may have.

As the new 2015-2016 Board of Directors, we wanted to participate in a summer event to bond as a group while joining in a community event. This weekend, the Board of Directors will be participating at the Relay for Life in Wausau, WI. We will be volunteering together to help celebrate and remember those who have fought and battled cancer. Please stay tuned for pictures and a event recap.

If there is anything that I can do to help you throughout the year or if you have questions, comments, concerns, or ideas please feel free to contact and share them with me at emilie.kreilkamp@cuw.edu.
