The Student Nurses’ Foundation of Wisconsin - Annual Scholarship

Our non-profit organization provides annual scholarships to nursing students at the Wisconsin Student Nurses Association (WSNA) Convention held each February. Our mission is to support the next generation of nurses — individuals who are deeply committed to caring for others and improving the health of our communities. Many of you face significant financial challenges as they balance demanding coursework, clinical rotations, part-time employment, and personal responsibilities.

Wisconsin Student Nurses Association - Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarship

Wisconsin Student Nurses’ Association offers the Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarship, which provides opportunities and encouragement to those who are in nursing school. The goal of this selective project is to provide two $200 scholarships to be used towards books and nursing supplies (i.e. stethoscope, penlight, scissors)

  • Essay question: Discuss the vital role of diversity in nursing and its influence on the quality of healthcare. In your response, explain how innovative educational approaches and initiatives can strengthen inclusivity, deepen understanding, and enhance representation among nursing students. Describe how a strong commitment to diversity equips future nurses to effectively care for a multicultural patient population, ultimately promoting better health outcomes and fostering trust within the communities they serve. (Essay should be 500 words minimum).

Grants

The Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association - Leadership Grant

A grant for official NSNA school chapters (established a minimum of one (1) year) to foster the development of leadership skills in nursing students.
